It has been an odd year - I am currently studying for my QTS which will hopefully come about at the end of this school year.
The only DIY I have managed is to move my shed into the littlest room - obviously the shed has remained outside and it was tough fitting everything into a bedroom (minus the bed) but I now have my own craft room - albeit a shared room if J decides he wants to do his art homework there. But it has everything in it.
This hopefully means the Craft drought is over! A bit more me time and the ability to pop out of bed in the morning and craft while the house sleeps.
So far only a couple of cards and a few small gifts made but I am hoping to increase that and make a few more things over the next few months. Beginning with a friend who asked me to make a book of her daughters wedding which really needs looking at now!

Today promises to be a very interesting day!
Tonight we are staying at a museum as part of the Sky Arts Museums at Night weekend.
Not sure if I am looking forward to my sleeping bag on the floor - getting a bit old for it I think! But J is certainly excited and some of the activities they are planning sound fun!
We are staying at the historic dockyard in Chatham and after a ceremonial sunset service there are tours of the dockyard and also making and launching of rockets!
Wonder how much sleep we will get?

No post yesterday as I was out gallavanting around the town!
A colleague was in an amdram production of this (the musical) and a very good performance too! We got tickets to see the technical rehearsal and I haven't laughed so much in ages! There were about 20 of us from work all in a long line - and everyone said how much they enjoyed it! Takes a lot of guts to allow your workmates to come along to something like that!

J hasn't been too well over the past few months and he is poorly at the moment. Not totally ill, but ill enough to be pathetic and not want to go to school, but fairly OK by lunchtime!
So - today I sent him in as neither B nor I can really take time off work! Get a phone call from the school at lunch to say he is poorly - but when I speak to him he hasn't had any painkillers or his inhaler! Bit cross with both him and the school about this! Anyway to cut a long story short I left him there! And I am planning on sending him in tomorrow!
Does that make me a bad mum? He has a cold and possibly hayfever - I would go into school with these as I can't take time off for small things - but should I keep him off?

A good day - finally got all the OCR Childcare work put together, marked and bagged up ready to be sent to the Moderator! This time of year is a pain as everyone is chasing the same kids for coursework - sometimes I wished I was more organised, but then I realise that the human factor is not just me but also the kids! Only PSHE and year 9 reports to finish/write now!
Had a great idea for a lesson to hopefully knock the assessors socks off! Plan on asking some friends if they will help during half term!
Tonight it is spag bol - luckily saved from freezer - hopefully little bug will eat it - he has been really poorly today and B had to look after him! Think he is milking it a bit, but he has got a cough!

My new home!
As I can no longer state that I am a crafter (bit on the haphazard side!) thought that I would make this a general blog about my life, what I am doing and things that amuse me!
